Roadways:
1. TamilNadu has a total length of 1,67,000 of which 60,628 km are maintained by State Highways Department.
2. They include National Highways, State Highways, Roads by Corporation, Panchayat etc.
3. NH44 is the longest national highway in TamilNadu.
4. It runs from Hosur to Kanyakumari and NH - 785 is the shortest national highway in Tamil Nadu runs from Madural to Thuvarankuruchi.
Railways:
1. TamilNadu has the Southern Railway Head Quarters in Chennai with well developed Railway Stations.
2. Southern Railways serve a major part of the southern peninsula.
3. Chennai has well established MRTS. (Mass Rapid Transport System) At present, Metro Railways are being operated with its first underground stretch since May 2017.
Airways:
